Long Distance Strategies for Fighting for Sexual Purity
The following are examples of Romans 12:2, which says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind.” Deep transformation begins with your thinking, and when what is in your mind moves to the heart and then gets pumped into the bloodstream, no part is left untouched, and radical transformation occurs.
Point #2 – The Malignancy and Deception of Sexual Sin
“You will give them dullness of heart.” Lamentation 3:65
Among other things you receive from God when you forsake Him in sexual sin is that the basic beauties of life will be reduced in your perceptions.
I would like to begin this section with a scene from the movie Conan The Barbarian. It captures well the main point I will try to make, namely that sexual sin will seek to kill you though it often comes well disguised.
Seeing and savoring Jesus Christ is the key to fighting well.
