A smiling corpse in a three piece suit is still rotting, stinking and dead; this in reference to sin that comes well-dressed. Mormonism is a good example of this. Riding their bikes to hell, Mormon elders and sisters will come to your door in well-pressed dark pants and a white pressed shirt, hair well kept, tell you that you have a lovely family, and given enough time, try to convince you that you can be a god and own your own universe just like God. They will not tell you this on the first visit, nor will they flinch when you tell them that Brigham Young, their second president said, “As we are, so God once was; as God is, so man can become.” Now anyone with even a thin take on what Christianity is and who Christ is knows that here we have a little problem. No not little, but massive. “You shall have no other Gods before Me,” goes the 1st Commandment, yet here you have one of the big dogs of Mormonism stating that God was once like us. Never mind that the same Bible Mormons read tells about a Jesus who “upholds the universe by the word of His power,” (Hebrews 1:3) one is so exalted that “God . . . has given Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:9-11)

Logic and reason do not get you far with Mormons however and only the Jericho-destroying power of God can bore a whole through their tight-fitting and ugly armor. But there is one Lord before whom every knee will one day bow, whether in worship or in terror, and His name is Jesus. This same Jesus brooks no opposition. He will have your heart now, or He will have your head later. While this sounds harsh, it is true, and it is true for the overtly wicked and God-despising, as well as for the well-dressed, modern pagan who pretends to love God but really hates Him and only loves himself.

And what kind of grand self-love it is that is convinced that it too can be God!
